HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN BENIN – 2018

The 4th humanitarian mission (Urology / Gynecology) took place in close collaboration with the Clinique Médicale Humanitaire Ste Agnès.

GENERAL CONSULTATIONS / SCREENING AND CARE

The members of this humanitarian mission:

– Dr S. Regusci (Urologist)
– Dr A. Kashef (Gynecologist)
– Mrs. S. Laera (medical assistant)
– Mrs. D. Gavard (nurse)
– Mr. Denis Agboton, President SMI – (travel coordinator)

The objectives of this mission are :

– Transport and supply of medical equipment and various drugs offered for the needs of our humanitarian action

– Urology

– Detect during consultations the existence of voiding disorders in men aged 40 to 70 in Cotonou, in particular among the underprivileged population.

– Propose and carry out appropriate treatments and simple interventions on site.

– Follow up on patients from previous missions.

– Keep daily records and statistics of consultations, diagnoses, laboratory analyzes, types of intervention, drug treatments and patient follow-up.

– Strengthen collaboration with local colleagues

– Gynaecology

– Consult the patients presented by the NGO Racines.

– Consult the patients presented by Ste Agnès.

– Propose and carry out appropriate treatments and simple interventions on site.

– Ensure the follow-up of patients from previous missions.

– Keep daily records and statistics of consultations, diagnoses, laboratory analyzes, types of intervention, drug treatments and patient follow-up.

– Strengthen collaboration with local colleagues
