Swiss Medical Initiative

Swiss Medical Initiative is officially recognized “ d’utilité publique”. Its main goal is to gather Swiss doctors who wish to give their time and know-how to the benefit of humanitarian causes.

The necessity of humanitarian actions in the poorest villages in Africa have unfortunately proven how much there was still a lot to be done. Because of rural exoduses, populations already stricken by extreme poverty were forced into overcrowded towns and thus live in even more precarious situations.  Indigent people can hardly have access to medical care in public hospitals let alone private clinics.

With your support, our initiative therefore aims to offer quality healthcare to those who cannot afford medical treatment. Your donation will help us accomplish our mission.

From 2015 to 2025, our humanitarian operations made it possible for more than 3000 needy patients to benefit from good quality care and treatment.

Furthermore, we have made available effective medications and various useful medical equipment to support the medical activities of our local partners (ultrasound scanners, flexible cystoscope instruments, gynaecological devices, genExpert, a recovery room ventilator, an anesthesia table, an electrosurgical unit...).
