With the support of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Cantonal Hospital of Fribourg, the Swiss Medical Initiative Foundation and The New Life Polyclinic in Djérègbé (Benin) successfully co-organized a humanitarian surgical mission from February 17 to 21, 2025.
30 patients from underprivileged backgrounds benefited from a 5-day surgical program including major procedures: myomectomies, cystectomies, hysterectomies, removal of benign breast tumors. They will regain their quality of life…
This humanitarian mission is also an opportunity for Swiss gynecologists to share their skills and know-how with gynecologists in Benin.
